Greenhouse Gas Emissions Management
As climate change challenges intensify, businesses face pressure from government regulations, market risks, and brand reputation. SIMHOPE Industrial is actively reducing greenhouse gas emissions. We designated 2023 as the base year and, in 2024, completed our first third-party verification of organizational GHG inventory under ISO14064-1. We will continue to expand the inventory scope to meet stakeholder expectations.

GHG Emissions Management Committee
SIMHOPE Industrial established the "GHG Emissions Management Committee," led by the Chairman’s Special Assistant. The committee integrates internal resources to drive GHG inventory planning, implementation, and verification while continuously improving the ISO14064-1 management system.
Execution Team: Coordinates GHG inventory activities across departments, including boundary setting, emission source identification, and emission calculation. Audit Team: Plans and executes inventory verification and tracks improvement actions.

2023 GHG Emission Overview
Total emissions from SIMHOPE Industrial’s headquarters in 2023: 451.881 metric tons CO2e
Types of emissions in 2023:
Inventory covered greenhouse gases regulated under Article 3 of the Climate Change Response Act: CO2, CH4, N2O, HFCs, PFCs, SF6, and NF3.

Green Energy Rooftop
To promote energy transition, SIMHOPE Industrial installed solar panels on factory rooftops. Annual power generation reaches 775,000 kWh, reducing CO2e emissions by 400 metric tons. This supports the national 2050 net-zero target and promotes public acceptance of green energy.
SocialSocial Well-being

Care for the Elderly
In partnership with the Huashan Foundation’s Beidou Angel Station, we support a monthly meal delivery program. In 2024, the program served 125 deliveries and replaced light bulbs for 2 elderly households. From 2022 to 2024, monthly sponsorships reached 135 individuals, with 177 care packages distributed during festive seasons.
Sustainable Staff Trips
Staff trips were combined with beach clean-up activities in collaboration with professional environmental groups. Events began with educational lectures emphasizing waste reduction, followed by hands-on cleanups. Held in Badouzi (Keelung), Shengang Beach (Changhua), Baikeng Beach (Penghu), and Xingang Seawall (Kaohsiung), the program was conducted four times over three years, with tripled participation.

In response to a joint blood donation campaign by the Beidou Industrial Park Committee, employees actively participated to help replenish medical blood supply.
