FAQ

Q1、How should I select the most suitable model for my products?
Selecting die casting machines is usually based on the mould size. Contact us for professional assistance and evaluation.
Q2、I don’t have any experience in die casting. What assistance can SIMHOPE provide me?
We provide comprehensive technical service and consultancy, including but not limited to, mould development, machine evaluation, installation and training. Naturally, we also offer after-sales service.
Q3、What are the consumable parts for die casting machines?
The main parts include, but are not limited to, piston rings, pistons, nozzles, nozzle tubes, goosenecks and heaters.
What is die casting?
Die casting is one kind of metal casting process that uses a mold of high strength alloys and apply high pressure to molten alloys. The process is similar to injection molding. Die casting materials are normally iron-free, such as Zn, Al, Mg, Pb and Sn. Diecasting machines can be categorized into hot-chamber and cold chamber.
Q4、What type of warranty do you offer and what is the typical service-life of SIMHOPE products?
We offer a one-year standard warranty. The average service-life of a SIMHOPE die casting machine can reach 10 years when following the instructions for correct usage and maintenance.
Q5、I am in need of mould design, can SIMHOPE assist me?
Of course we can and we are happy to do so. Please provide your sample or product drawings.
Q6、Are there any large brands that use SIMHOPE machines currently?
Many well-known brands and leading players have directly adopted our machines. Many of them operate in fields that include household & bath hardware, fishing gear, zippers, and more.
Applications of die casting
The die casting process provides stable quality and high efficiency; therefore, there is a wide range of applications. Commonly used in industries such as automobile, electronic parts, medical, watches, household & bathroom hardware, and many more. Many leading brands of mentioned industries choose SIMHOPE products and services for their production.
Advantages of die casting
With precise control on pressure, speed, temperature and other parameters die casting process allows mass production with great quality and efficiency. SIMHOPE die-casting machines adopts high strength steel and selected high-end components for electrical control to ensure reliable performance and brings the advantages of die casting to our clients.
Cold chamber and hot chamber die-casting machines
For a hot chamber die casting machine, the furnace is attached to the machine, while the furnace is separate from the machine in a cold chamber machine. A hot chamber machine is suitable for low melting-point alloys, such as Zn and Mg, while a cold chamber machine is normally applied for high melting-point alloys, such as Al.
Wide rang applications of Zinc Die Casting
Here are some features of Zinc die casting:
1. Low melting point which makes zinc alloys easier to be formed than other alloys.
2. High fluidity of zinc alloys which allows complex shape forming.

3. Requiring fewer post-processes and hence reduce production cost.
4. Easy to apply surface treatment, including plating and spraying. It often replaces copper alloys because of its high-quality appearance.
The importance of locking-force
During the die casting process, the locking force ensures the mold is safely closed. A precise locking force guarantees not only the quality of final parts, most important, but it also prevents high-temperature alloys splash out, and hence guarantee safety during the production. SIMHOPE provides various selections on locking force from 25 tons to 350 tons.
